Matteo Bazzani is a partner in CARNELUTTI Law Firm. He is a member of the firm’s restructuring and insolvency department, where he specializes in restructuring and turnaround matters, insolvency procedures, acquisition and financing of distressed companies in the context of out-of-court workouts and in-court reorganization. His practice also focuses on banking and finance and he represents and advises lenders in a wide variety of domestic and international financing transactions. He has also developed significant experience in the field of M&A.
Matteo is Adjunct Professor of Bankruptcy Law at the Catholic University of Milan.
He is an officer of the Insolvency Section of the International Bar Association and co-editor of the journal Insolvency and Restructuring International.
He is recommended as a restructuring lawyer by Global Law Experts.
He was awarded his Ph.D. in Commercial Law and International Commercial Law from the Catholic University of Milan in 2008, having graduated there in 2003 “summa cum laude”.
He was also Visiting Scholar at the Chicago University Law School and at the Max-Planck Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht, Hamburg.
He was admitted to the Italian Bar Association in 2007. Matteo speaks English and German, in addition to Italian.
