London-based, Stefano Macchi di Cellere is the Managing Partner of the European law firm Macchi di Cellere LLP. Dually qualified lawyer, Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and Avvocato of the Supreme Court of Cassation of Italy, his legal practice in London focuses on the internationalization of enterprises, cross-border M&A, international corporate and competition law, technology related strategic litigation and arbitration. His commercial and transactional practice covers several industries, including automotive, e-mobility and energy, biotech and pharmaceuticals, media, IT and communications, fintech, luxury brands and music and entertainment, by advising multinational conglomerates, middle-market and start-up businesses.

Stefano regularly assists clients investing and doing business in the UK and Italy in the public and private sector. He represents group of companies and private equity funds in deal negotiations, joint ventures projects, technology transactions, pre-merger notifications and launching and replying to tender bid processes in a wide range of industries and business sectors.

Stefano is qualified to stand before the Court of Justice of the European Union, the English and the Italian Courts. Experienced negotiator and mediator, he argues pleadings and appeals and litigates damages actions, unfair competition, and intertwined licensing and intellectual property disputes.

Stefano is a regular author and speaker and contributor to the World Bank's Doing Business annual reports. He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Italian Bar, the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (Council Member and Chair of the Aerospace Committee, 1998-2000, Vice Chair, 1996-1998), the Alumni Association of the Academy of American and International Law (Deputy Secretary General, 1990-1991), Pro Bono Italia ETS (Vice President 2017-2025), Advisory Board Member.

He is fluent in English in addition to his native Italian.
