Giulia Busin is a partner in CARNELUTTI Law Firm. She is a member of the firm’s labour department where her practice focuses on labour and trade union law, with significant experience in court.

Giulia renders day-to-day legal services to businesses on the management of employment relations (disciplinary proceedings, definition of job classification, changes in job duties, international secondment, etc.), on the negotiation and drafting of subordinate employment and self-employment agreements, on preparing corporate policies, managing corporate reorganizations, transfers of businesses or lines of business, and in individual and collective dismissals.

Giulia has specialized in occupational safety, including the drafting and revision of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. She has a proven track-record in privacy issues related to the organization of work, with specific reference to drafting company policies regulating the use of work tools.

She graduated from the Sapienza University in Rome in July 2009.

She contributes to Altalex Formazione labour law and civil procedural law and also writes articles on labour law for magazines distributed in the Veneto area. She speaks at seminars and conventions.

Prior to joining the firm, she worked for a leading Italian law firm.

She has been a member of the Milan Bar since 2012.

Giulia is fluent in English, in addition to her native Italian.

Dismissal for cause: the case of a no-mask kindergarden teacher by Marco Sartori and Giulia Busin

In the attached article, we discuss the dismissal for cause served on a kindergarten teacher who did not wear a face mask during working hours. The decision was valid because the employee's conduct was in conflict with the safety duty set forth by Art. 2087 of the Italian Civil Code. Our comment on the decision delivered by the Court of Trento, Labour Chamber, on 8 July 2021.
