Marco is a partner of Carnelutti Law Firm and he is a member of the firm’s Corporate M&A department.
Marco has twenty years’ experience gained in Italy and in the United States where he worked for top-tier international law firms providing Italian and foreign investors with hands on advice in several major transactions on the Italian and international markets assisting companies and governments in several deals, mainly in the fields of real estate, construction of relevant infrastructures as well as renewable and oil and gas energies. Marco has led the team of international lawyers advising ministries and clients in the construction and development of major infrastructures such as motorways, train stations, football stadiums along with thermopower, hydropower and solar plants, wind farms, and LNG facilities.
Marco assisted government and private entities in relation to structuring and implementing public-private partnerships and other important public or private development projects, also foreseeing the co-financing of international donors such as EIB, EBRD, and IFC.
Prior to joining Carnelutti Law Firm, he held the positions of General Counsel of an information technology company; Managing Partner of the Tirana office of two international law firms for 8 years; and Senior Associate of prestigious Italian and international law firms.
Marco holds an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from American University Washington College of Law and certificates in Global Public Procurement and Supply Chain Management respectively from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (“KAIST”) and Georgia Institute of Technology.
